Congratulations to all that hit Telling yesterday.

I did not -  I keyed Brass Hat - and was curious as to why people liked him on TG.  He had a nice set of 3\'s to run back to, but his numbers and form this year appeared flat with no indication of a recovery line or forward move.

Thanks.

Congrats to TG as well for yesterday\'s 6th.  Ex and Tri with a 3 horse box.

Payoffs were about half what they figured to be so I take it plenty of TG\'ers got well on that one too.

Even if he ran back to the nice set of 3\'s it wouldn\'t get it done. He was too slow coming in. Who had him and why?

JR, From the Tg sheets the horse is a real stretch. There were so many question marks surrounding the first and second choices that a \'bomb\'was not so far fetched if you took a shot outside the fig \"box\" The winner did have very strong long distance breeding.

I could not have him with 7 picks in there.

I thought the key to handicapping the SD was the fact that the course was
apparently rock hard, and that certain horses would be compromised by this.

I threw out the horses that MG affectionately called \"the Krauts\", Pletcher\'s
French import, and Grand Couturier.

That left me with Better Talk Now, who I have consistently taken a position
against for the past 2 seasons. BTN, by the way, seems to have turned into a bit
of a hanger.

Getting beat by a $68 horse did not hurt as much as it should have, having been
beaten about an hour before by a $216.00 winner at Monmouth.

JR - FWIW - sometime there are just things about trainers intention (must admit I am a late believer here on this topic) that strikes me knowing more about Midwest racing than East Coast racing...and I used a different source for my handicapping the racea at SAR (no worries, it wasn\'t the enemy) for figs on Saturday.

Plus, I really listen to all the radio shows for opinions that may backup my picks...and one guy on Ralph\'s show saw the same thing I did...thankfully.
