I do like the Oaks a lot
« on: April 30, 2010, 08:15:05 AM »
I will say that I really like Amen Hallelujah in the Oaks today. I know Blind Luck is a very good filly, but I just feel \"Amen\" is coming up to a big effort, and I think she may be able to stalk the other speeds and have the lead as they turn for home. She might be tough to run down.  I\'d like to get some doubles, but as I\'ve indicated, I\'m not seeing the Derby too clearly this year (not that I ever do). The likely sloppy track tomorrow only adds more muck to the picture. I will say \'Lucky worked exceptionally well in the slop for what that\'s worth.

EJ second off the short layoff and I think she can run huge here.  Running the best races of her life and is primed for this one especially being able to run in versatile fashion imo. Looks to come off the pace today and will hopefully get a nice trip. Hard knocking filly that runs her heart out.. gotta love that!  This is my wager on the day and good luck to all.

It\'s Tea Time is my choice, hooking her up with 10. heavy on Stately Victor.

I\'m going to key Jody Slew to rally up and hit the board at a price.

Age of Humor woke up on Poly in last. Good Oaks pedigree and she has been training well.

I will take a shot with her at a price underneath and in a few small Oaks-Derby doubles just in case.

Aslo like It\'s Tea Time.

Let\'s hope BL runs out here. We\'ll be eliminating 70% to 80% of the tix...

Tough beat NYC, was rooting for ya. Did you use BL at all in your exotics?

Nice call and tough beat for nyc.  I gave Evening Jewel little chance after watching her life and death to hold off a charging ITT in the short stretch Ashland.

If the Blue Grass form follows the Ashland form, then Paddy O\'s stalk and pounce could work better at CD than it did at Kee...just a theory.
