Probably the same as you, more or less. I\'ve probably looked at the replay a little more than you. For what it\'s worth, the chartman saw it the way I did (bold emphasis mine):
\"TIMBER CAT was reserved early, rallied outside on the turn, was carried five wide by MUY GUAPO at the quarter pole and finished well in the middle of the track but could not get up.\"
Being carried wide right as he was trying to straighten up coming out of the turn also caused Timber Cat a critical loss of momentum that he darn near made up with a nice rally down the length of the stretch. The loss of momentum was more than enough to cause Timber Cat to lose by a nose.
I disagree that this was a horrible call, however unpopular it may have been on-track; in fact, upon additional review of the replay, it\'s really a no-brainer.

Does that somehow validate the move, and \"rodeo riding\" in general?
If you are or were some big fan of Cordero, I suppose that all of this is falling on deaf ears. Oh well. I think the replay tells the tale quite well, and the stews got it right.
