Winstar breakup
« on: October 13, 2010, 08:09:39 PM »
any insights here?  These guys - from my limited experience - gave their all in both money and time to horse issues and education.  I have spent a few flights with Casner from DFW to KNLD in the past...this one surprises me.  Although they may be just tired of the BS - at a TOBA dinner several years ago they gave an award acceptance speech that lasted way too long, the patrons were rude as hell and even from the front table I couldn\'t hear them midway through...seemed like classy folks on both sides.

In Florida,Kentucky especially, many are either abandoning ship altogether or contracting their operations. Game is in trouble countrywide.

Doesn\'t look like a big deal from what I read. All I saw was that one partner (Troutt) bought out the interests of the other (Casner) but that they would continue working together. Did I miss something?
