F--k the players, alive for millions to a horse that should have never been allowed to race.

Velasquez and Pletcher were in a tough spot. After the talking abot LAT I went back in with a big 3-8 box, was not happy when Gomez dropped in.

Makes handicapping tomorrow very tricky indeed. Not only do you have to handicap horses, trainers, and the rail, you have to handicap jockeys plans. Hard to believe anyone missed it.

I missed it - what was known before the race about her condition?

Don\'t recall ever hearing a more grim pre race warmup commentary from the talking heads, plus jock JV confirmed the filly was not right.

Not saying it was an easy decision to scratch , but the lack of respect for the betting public is clear.  Of course, those that cashed are thrilled at the \'bonus\' payout.

Not her condition (bad obviously...jock mentioned it on espn), but I believe Jerry was referring to the jocks seeing the dead rail and where/how they decide to ride because of it.

Geesh - thanks.  I missed all that.  When did JV say something?

Thank goodness I live 5 minutes from Monmouth where I could head back and take L@10 off my tickets just before post time. Sandwiched BL in between 3, 8, 11 for a nice tri hit. I thought the payoffs were good in that race considering.

PDub. I thought the TG analysis and figs held up very well today.  I had a very good day. Did not hit any multirace bets because of Shared Account but was + in every race except the Marathon and have a nice bankroll for tomorrow.  Thanks TG.

ESPN had him miked and went to him two or three times.  As they loaded, Jerry Bailey asked him if she was getting better and he said \"Not really.\"

ESPN did a great job.

And by the way, no excuse for letting the track play unfairly on a day this big.

What, he couldn\'t say that to the gate vet?

Monmouth,

Glad you had a good day. My earlier comments were not intended to offend. I had a great day and felt good about it.

I included Shared Account because of the positive analysis comment, although they weren\'t crazy about her, and if she worked out a trip her top wasn\'t too far off the better horses. Hey, I got lucky, she saved ground and won by a head.

Hit a couple P3s and a couple nice winners. I\'ll also add my thanks to JB and staff.

CD track man caught all kinds of hell for a hot rail in 2006 when the deep bombers were riding it home.

Looks like he\'s trying to make up for it.

After those first two splits I was counting my money on MP.

Pdub..

Congrats!  I missed on Shared Account and should have used him as sentimental play as I\'m from MD and like the connections with Kevin Plank.  Still came out a little ahead with Dubai Majesty being a really good call by TG.  Good solid sheets and analysis today.  i\'m surprised i haven\'t heard of anyone here nailing that 5 of 6 pick Six.  For the spread players they were all pretty much there on the analysis.

If he had been as honest with the vet as he was to the national audience, I think they would have gate scratched her.  That is just my opinion.
