I was at the Wood and was standing on the rail 75 feet past the finish line. I\'ll be the first to admit that I don\'t know horse flesh from Bangladesh, John Tesh or Gilgamesh (you get the picture), but it certainly appeared (at least to me) that MO was in some kind of distress - he didn\'t look comfortable. I watched him down the lane and well past the finish, including the jog back.
I guess the GI infection thing makes sense - strange that there\'s been nothing more about Mo grabbing a quarter out of the gate. (Maybe I missed it). I don\'t have any idea how long it takes to recuperate from GI infections, but I\'m presuming the antibiotic thing takes its toll. As others have said, unless he works lights out at Churchill, I would have a tough time using him at what I presume will be fairly low odds.
As an aside, one of the old time bartenders told me that the stretch at Aqueduct is longer than Belmont - anyone know off hand if that\'s true?
