An Emotional ROTW

My opinion differs quite a bit from that of of TG this week. I don\'t see Frankel working his magic in just 1 month and 3 workouts. He usually does better when he lays them up for a while and then brings them back. I think Frankel may be getting a little overconfident but I could be wrong. He has burned me plenty of times before. I also think the horse will be an underlay at post time.

I really like Roar Emotion in here. I like her line more than does the ROTW analysis. It looks very fast and very strong if you toss out her second lifetime race in which she stumbled at the start on a drying out track. The trainer says he was pointing for this race/series all year and her first 3yo start was clearly a prep and the last one was very strong and still only 3 points better than her fall 2yo top which she ran twice as a 2yo. She is now rested and has some sparkling works and also appears to have a solid pace advantage. I think Roar Emotion is the most likely winner and could go off as the third choice behind Yell and the Frankel horse.

*** I agree with you on Roar Emotion\'s line Chris , it is solid . An additional huge plus is her draw on the outside of a compact field . With her tactical speed as you mentioned , Santos can place her pretty much where he wants .
   It doesn\'t look like a great betting race to me - she might rate a slight overlay on the win end , but I wouldn\'t be so fast to dismiss Frankel . Betting against him in Grade 1s can be expensive . Maybe an exactor box with your pick? Good Luck .bj

i\'m going to have to agree with you here on roar emotion.  i have her 8/5 on my line.  my only concern with her is her pace profile.  she appears to have more of a sprinter\'s profile, rather that of a horse successful at nine furlongs.  however, this is probably one of the weaker grade I fields that i\'ve seen, so anything is possible.  from a pace perspective, final round look interesting to me, and with the expected money on yell, roar emotion, and the frankel/bailey horse, could be the value in the race.

If Final Round is on the verge of backing up, it would certainly come as news to the trainer & owner, who are both expecting her to improve & run the best race of her life based on everything which has happened since her last race. Odd that a GRI race in NY would feature 2 owners from my hometown, & at anything close to 7/2 I think the one whose horses provided Jersey Joe Bravo with his 999 & 1,000 victories here at Monmouth yesterday is a strong play.
