great call.
i was playing light today, didn\'t use tg, poached some free brisnet pp\'s on a couple of races.
liked hammer\'s terror off of what i saw on the brisnet stuff - two good poly #s last year , one of which was at keeneland, far better than his later dirt and turf #s...i know, i know, bris #s are suspect, but...anyway, he showed a dirt win off the lay, a wide fade in the lecomte, and a troubled/wide third on turf in stakes, three sharp works at keeneland since, beaten fave up in class...old skool, eh?
looked here before i bet the race and saw your note, thought, well, guess i\'m not the only out there crazy enough to like this horse.
had decided ahead of time to bet hammer\'s terror to win and place...when stidham won the sprint race just prior to the lexington i went fishing for something else for a minute since i generally don\'t like betting trainers to win two races in a row but i just couldn\'t talk myself into anything else, so went ahead with the win/place and keyed him and the clement in top three spots in a tri with all squared away, gold megillah, and holiday promise in 2nd and 3rd...shouldn\'t complain too much because it was sorta half-assed handicapping and the only reason i threw in all squared away was due to your recommendation but still felt about ready to throw up in mouth after they hit the wire...i know boxing is generally bad strategy but even a forty or fiddy cent super box of my five woulda made my year...
again, great call. you da man. you must have been the only person in america to tout this thing in public today, hope you needed a brink\'s truck to take you home...
