El Padrino on track
« on: May 02, 2012, 12:28:05 PM »
Jeremy Plonk tweeted that EP was blowing heavily after his jog today and he is completely tossing him based on his on-track appearance.  Any confirmation of this account, and if so, should it matter (thinking back to Covello\'s post about pre-derby appearance)?

It should be mentioned that it\'s very humid in KY today, even early this am, and it\'s very hot today, mid- 80\'s.

Should be an edge for the FL horses? Right?

That :53 workout was bizarre for Pletcher.  Hard to see him really wanting that pre-derby.  Thanks for the tweet Tread.

Yeah.  It\'s really nasty today, hot and humid.  Derby should be cooler.

Hard to know what to make of El Padrino, any other ground guys say anything?

J.J. Hysell‏ @trifectabox

Gemologist exits the track without a drop of sweat, not even breathing hard. El Padrino looked heavy on surface, a bit taxed #KyDerby
