A question on the line here. Last was a big forward move which I thought would indicate a regression here but your thoro-pattern has it 38% for a new top. Granted this horse should enjoy the turf based upon breeding but isn\'t a bounce more likely here.

First of all, if a horse is changing surface Thoro-Pattern is completely irrelevant. But also, I would look at the intro material I wrote for it regarding its limitations.

The Introductory section of this site has \"Guide to the Thoro-Pattern\". I wouldn\'t use it in this case regardless, there are a million variables-- how big the top is, how good the trainer is turf and first turf, pedigree...
