She couldn\'t clean the mud off Rosie\'s silks.

Not to take anything away from her, of course.

Rosie is very talented, but it\'s waaaay too soon for that statement.

Let\'s see about 3X more wins from Rosie, and perhaps an obligatory tour of duty in SoCal, where Julie routinely went up against the best of the best during the latter part of her career...then we will have the basis for a valid comparison.

(More than one Grade I win per 1000 winners would be favorable, too...and don\'t forget that a rough 2/3rd\'s of Rosie\'s career win total to date was amassed while she was part of a suspect Maryland jock colony.)

Julie Krone\'s remarkable riding achievements are documented; Rosie, in spite of how far she has come, and how fast, is still more \"potential\" greatness, rather than actual. Time will tell.

How come JK wasn\'t at Pimlico to ride in the legends race?

Mark, she raced in a charity race at Doncaster last September. From what I read she trained quite a bit to get ready for it, and from her quote (below) she was still a little \"short\" (sorry, couldn\'t resist). That may have been her swan song.

\"A furlong out, I gave him two token swats to keep going to the wire, and he really flattened out nice and I tried not to bounce around too much. I think I\'d be better if I rode the race again, but one race after such a long time was hard.\"

What you\'re forgetting is that Julie blazed the trail for Rosie to even get a shot in a game that\'s dominated by male chauvanists. Julie was so good she forced owners to ride her or get beat by her, it was their choice.

Rosie is fantastic, but there\'s only one Julie.

A few yrs back Shane Sellers won the Kelso by a nose on Same Old Wish....paid about $80 and a guy or two at the Simulcast place had him in the Hall of Fame and superior to Pat Day.

Julie was.leading Rider at Gulfstream. Consistent and competitive in NY. Won a Belmont and then had a lot of bad injuries.

Rosie is on a good trajectory....only.the test of time will prove her full body of work....Not a good season or two....

I\'m a Julie fan, and like her.

But she spent a LOT of time in Jersey (understandable), and in terms of getting all the best of it from the stewards\' stand . . . yeah, she sure did.

Her positive influence on the Monmouth/Meadowlands handle was significant,
much like Rosie\'s is, now.

Whatever Rosie ever does in her life it won\'t live up to Julie hitting another jock with a folding chair in a fight at Monmouth.

JK wouldn\'t back away from a battle.

Her fights with Bravo were legendary.

Nor Julie continuing to hustle randy romero\'s owners and trainers after his threat to put her over the rail if she tried to steal his business again. And so he did

FWIW... Julie was once married to Matt Muzikar, Rosie\'s agent now!

He knows women jocks :)

Nifty ride by Rosie there on the Tagg runner in the 6th. Had the best horse but still saved ground. Now rides for Pletcher...could be an interesting summer for her....
