Tragic accident at Pleasanton

What an awful accident. Eerily, he died on the same day - July 5 - as Juan Gonzalez did on the same racetrack 37 years ago.  Saturday they will run the Juan Gonzalez Memorial Stakes.

I\'m heading out to the Pleasanton Fairgrounds the next couple days for my annual fair racing fix.  Been going for years.  This sure puts a damper on that. Condolences to the family of Mr Herrera.
