Mike,

Much worse than you know!
No volume throughout the track for the call or paddock show, barely able to hear it yesterday, no Maggie and crew at all on opening day. The water pressure blew on opening day, no bathrooms in the main plant, women going into the men\'s room, lines outrageous, they were used like porta potties. The bank of machines across from the Carolina BBQ were maybe 70% workable with crowds of 25 and 22k, similar problems inside the main plant on SAM machines.

318 days to get ready for a 40 day meet that encompasses 47 calendar days, bars and food vendors ran out early yesterday by the 9th of 11 races of staples.

I just watched the first trotter race of NY Bred NW1 other than stagger home in 1:16.93 off a 45 half with only one horse running at the end.

So goes the optimism of opening day!

The fios thing is pitiful. I called them and its not clear to me who is at fault, it may have nothing to do with nyra at all.

the fios picture is generally horrible on that channel , so the inet feed I\'m using is not much of a comedown.  I do lose the recording capability though, not having the fios feed.

The new free WiFi service at the track didn\'t work much either.
At least yesterday you could get the race call and paddock show.
INEXCUSABLE!

NYRA insists it\'s a Verizon problem.Unimaginable that after 3 days the problem not resolved. There are 3 channels owned by NY City which are all out on Verizon Fios.

Downside, no Maggie, upside no Little Andy :)

Mike it must be a Verizon issue because Capital OTB\'s feed is fine for both the paddock show and race replays. They can only show the last race live, others are shown on delay immediately after the finish. Like that makes any sense this day in age! What\'s next, back to banning phones from the track?

Good luck,

Frank D.

Speaking of women in the men\'s room, i remember many years ago i went into the mens room near the sportsbook in Caesars (vegas) and there was an incredibly hot chick, probably drunk, in the mens room just sitting on the counter talking to some guy as if everything was A ok. You never know what you\'ll see in Vegas!

Top,

Verizon Fios signal came back on about 4:pm yesterday.Strange, the clarity of the picture seemed better than before.

Maggie usually spotted in the walking ring making notes about each horse. Her pre race on air time should be expanded in lieu of others.

Yeah, been a big Maggie fan from the get go. I get worried when she doesn\'t spot 3 or 4 winners a day, thinking she might be tailing off.
