1-- As far as I know there\'s betting on other races that day, to say nothing of other days. Why just that one? It either matters or it doesn\'t.

2-- Is there a penalty for falsifying vet records? If not, what difference does it make that they have to produce them?

Yeah, was thinking the same thing. Guess integrity is a function of purse and whose stock is being outrun.

Well, those are good things - especially glad to see they are leaving the horses in the trainers barn (rather than a stakes type barn)

Falsifying vet records will get you kicked off the track by the Stewards if discovered, and you can also lose your veterinary license to practice medicine.
