Same genius, NY State Steward Donofrio, who recently and inadvertently pushed a button to prematurely close the SPA betting pools, yesterday scratched a horse, Belle Of The Hall, by \"mistake\" Belle ran for purse only and won.Brilliant Carmine!!

Boscar, you never cease to amaze. And I apologize for the cheap gag at Carmine\'s expense. Sounds like he was a fine man 41 years ago and there\'s no evidence that anything has changed. NYRA may want to consider the benefits of having a younger guy on the switch, but, hey, maybe it\'s the switch that needs some work.

Not casting any aspersions at Carmine the man,but his competency as a \"steward\" of  possible multi million dollar decisions the issue.Incompetency knows no age.
In the real world, a person is held accountable for his actions,seemingly not the same in the state government sector.Politically appointed stooges in NY racing seem to get more benefit of the doubt.

Huge problem at NYSRWB is politically appointed stooge Sabini, at the wheel(not a great idea for this convicted DWI GUY) during all the NY racing mess of the last few years.Shocking that pisano Cuomo is not taking the opportunity to add Sabini\'s head to his trophy case, maybe an Italian thing.

Not defending at all here, in fact , I agree that something should happen.

 Was just being fair in that stoogeness has nothing to do with it ,that\'s why I mentioned age as a factor.

 Sometimes it\'s hard to know when to step down gracefully.
