That payout is for a 50 cent bet.

There was $154K in the P4 pool, with 180 winning tickets
out of 308,088 tickets played, so I don\'t understand the
\"guess no one is playing\" comment; \"hardly anyone is
winning\" seems more appropriate, at that paltry hit rate.

Had the favorite won the last race, the P4 would have paid
$137 and change for 50 cents, with about 842 tickets in play.

The middle two legs of the Pick were Stall-Stall.  The first one paid $4.40 and the second, a firster, paid $10.  The $2 double for those two was $10.80.  The parlay would have been twice that.  There was plenty of money in the Pick-4 pool.  I think we can figure out where a big chunk of it came from.  If my math is correct, the payout on the Pick wasn\'t too far off from a parlay, but my experience has almost always been that it pays well above the parlay when it\'s not chalk dominated.
