Omar Hernandez - anyone have stats?

Wound up as the fav....and beaten badly by two 60:1 shots.  I am amazed, and learn this lesson every year, at how the jockeys quit riding the last two days of the year.

The horse the Hernandez kid rode finished 6th at 40-1.

Not trying to be a dick here Shanny, but I don\'t get
this one, either -- I see some pretty obvious non-efforts
every day; unclear on what end of year has to do with it.

No, too late, Rick B.  Analysis picked this horse - #3 - they had a jock switch, I hadn\'t heard of him.  When I checked on my phone, the 3 horse was dropping to 5:2.

As for the non-efforts, it was tough to watch the field receiving no encouragement in the final furlong as those 3 horses ran the last 30 yards or so...perhaps I just notice it more when I am losing an important leg of the pik 4s.  Probably so...nobody died.  Best to you and yours as well.

You checked the wrong race or the wrong track, I think.

The #3 horse in the GP Race 10, Mr Laser -- the horse
picked in the Analysis and with the late jock change
to Omar Hernandez -- never got below 9-1 during the
wagering. I know this because I put $10 on him early
and considered pulling the bet back when the odds
started dropping with about 15 min to post.

That horse went off at 40-1.  The winner, a firster out of the Luis Duco barn, paid $101.  The two dollar double, with an $18 horse in the prior race paid $300, which some might suggest is a little light (parlay=$900+).  The fifty cent pick-four paid $780, which was less than the probables for horses in the 10-1 or 12-1 range, and the 40-1 horse mentioned above, was paying over $2K, as were other long shot entries.  That\'s business as usual at Finger Lakes, but perhaps a bit out of the norm for Gulfstream on a Sunday.
