Hey Jimbo,
I\'m almost certain that I heard the gulfstream analyst in between races say that they wet him down with a sponge in some tunnel before coming out..So that would explain the wet look..

Jimbo,

McGaughey said he also wasn’t too concerned over the fact Orb washed out quite a bit in the post parade prior to the race.

“That’s just him,” said McGaughey. “He did a little bit in the Fountain of Youth too. It’s not an easy family. I told Stuart [Janney III] in the winner’s circle he’s got a little family in him. I’d have been more worried in the paddock if he hadn’t gotten on his toes a little bit because he did in the Fountain of Youth. We might work with that a little bit, when we go to Louisville we’ll probably school him two or three times.”

Have never seen Orb not wet, from his maiden race at SPA till now,but not white washy.Good feeling horse is predisposed to sweating when excited I\'d guess.

When asked about a horse like that with similar tendencies, Alan Jerkens states he would be very concerned if that type horse was not sweating.

There is an interesting story about horses sweating and
Big Brown, on a sweltering morning the day of the Belmont Stakes.

Orb\'s pattern does nothing for me, don\'t like the big jump up, even if he paired, he didn\'t, road is littered with his kind, and DwJ is a play against at 3/5, what a neg 7? come on, IMLD with that Feb number interests me, that line looks positive for a move in may, that last race means nothing

Miff,

I appreciate that. Much thanks. Mcgaughey\'s passionate candor for horseflesh sweat of the same breath carries same. As for Orb, not my fav but stamps top 4
definite!
