Suggestions :2004; my two cents

If we are using your figs, I don\'t think par times are needed.  Most maiden races with a bounch of firsttimers mixed in with a few 1 or 2 fig starters are pretty much of a pass most of the time in my betting anyway.  i don\'t think the extra data on firsttimers would cause me to play the race with a betting unit like I would on a race where I have a fig opinion.  THE REASON I\'M USING TG AFTER SWITCHING FROM RAGS IS THAT YOUR FIGS ARE BETTER, THAT\'S YOUR STRENGTH.
What I would like to see you add are two items:
1.  On older horses whose early years don\'t appear on the sheet, I\'d like to see a line that gives their top fig for sprints & routes, Turf and dirt.
2.  In hard copy sets, please include at least one graded race from another track. Were getting into the time of the year when some of the big 3yo preps are on the sme day.
These two suggestions are things that Rags was doing when I made the switch over to your product, and I was kind of surprised you weren\'t providing them. (Ihope you won\'t disregard the suggestions just because Rags does them.)  I know you may think it will affect your profits, but to be fair, most race days the hard copy set has 1 or 2 races with a bounch of firsttimers (no figs) and we still pay the same price.

We will take a look at trying to fit in the back tops if there is room. You will start seeing some major layout changes soon, and there is more data coming, so it will be a while before we can figure out everything. If we haven\'t done anything about this in a couple of months remind us, and we\'ll take a look.

We have set up create-a-card and simulcast books to allow players to look at races from multiple tracks without paying an arm and a leg, so it\'s not about cutting profits, although I would like to think we\'re entitled to some. If the race is on the overnight as an individual simulcast race (as is sometimes the case in New York where there is limited simulcasting) we will continue to put it in with the home track.

Thanks Jerry, I understand about create-a-card and simulcast books, but I\'m talking about the hard copy sets I buy at the Med each week.  Simulcast books are not sold there.  And I prefer not to download, especially not with my computer set-up, and I am sure there are a number of people who are in the same situation.  I\'ve been at the Med when the TG sets have been brought up to the sales counter and I know you send over quite a number of sets and I \'m sure you sell well there (as you should, you have a great product). Please give this further consideration, I don\'t think putting in (for the most part) 1 extra race will hurt.  Speaking for myself, I don\'t buy the extra track set just for one race anyway, and I think it would be a nice gesture to your customers at places like the Med...and might even lure over to you more Raggies.
