Lost a shoe near the gate so they changed him to a scratch for wagering purposes, ran for purse only.  

Has to be a better solution as the amount of time between the announcement/scratch and running of the race wasn\'t enough time to remove/amend wagers for many people.

Revenue is the total consideration in that a Sunday card with 11 races is hardly necessary and going to bump up against sunset here now.

Some players selected the winner in the pick 4,6 and with all the other legs in,watched their selection win,tore up their tickets.Rules obviously need changing and in the very least, the horse should NEVER be permitted to run. Fix the shoe, or out of the race. At least players dont have to witness their horse winning and tearing anyway.Has to leave a bad taste and should be stopped immediately at least for appearances keepsake.Every loon on the planet would be howling if that horse broke down. NYRA would have opened themselves to big trouble. Of course, there are horses that run without shoes, time to time,but that may not be known to the public.

What adds to the craziness is that the 12 was 6 or 8 to one morning line, opened as the favorite and was 3-2 when scratched. Then won for fun with 3 shoes.  I had a nice 1-12 exacta box that got me nothing.

 yeah, this was a bad trade for the boys at nyra. they open themselves up for trouble. they need to scratch a horse like that outright if they can\'t bring themselves to let it run with 3 shoes.
