Race Day Picks
« on: November 02, 2013, 12:43:38 PM »
Hate going against Baffert off the bench, but 2-5 too short for any horse away for 7 months.  Tour Guide was running 6s when he as a baby. Big top coming for this one very soon.  I\'ll hope the maintenance guys overcompensate for yesterdays bias and slow the track down and try here at this price in 5 horse race.

Artemis Agrotera looks best to me in Juve Fillies.  Fast and versatile.

Must key Marketing Mix.  10-1 on very competitive horse and a jockey who is locked in right now.  Arlington Park loss to Dank very possibly bounce/reaction to monster Sunset Handicap performance.  Qushchi a possible bomb if the pace goes nuts.

See no reason to dismiss Groupie Doll at 4-1.  Followed identical route last year before she exploded to neg 4 in this race.  Would be shocked if she doesn\'t run a negative number here.

#10 Havelock, fastest fig in the race at a big price.  Coming back into form after lousy overseas ship.  Going to be crazy finish, might as well key the big price.

PICK 4:

I purchased 3 tickets:

Main ticket: 3-7-9/1-3-7-9/8/ALL - Cost= $66.00

3-Twilight Eclipse; 7-The Fugue; 9- Indy Point/
1-Justin Phillip; 3-Gentlemen\'s Bet; 7- Private Zone; 9- Secret Circle/
8- Wise Dan/
Every Horse in the Breeders\' Cup Classic....

Backup Ticket #1: 7-9/1-3-7-9-12/2-3-4-5/1-6-7-8-9 - cost = $100.00

2nd leg backup horse 12 - Laugh Track
3rd leg horses: 2-Silentio; 3- Silver Max; 4- Obviously; 5- Olympic Glory
last leg (CLassic) horses: 1- Last Gunfighter; 6- Mucho Macho Man;
7- Fort Larned; 8- Palace Malice; 9- Game On Dude.

Backup Ticket #2: 1-2-4-5-6-8-10-11-12/ 1-3-7-9-12/ 8/ 6-7. Cost $45.00

1st leg - every other horse in the race.

So, no matter what happens in the 1st leg, I\'m alive to 4 and 5 horses in the 2nd leg.

Total cost $211.00. Could get interesting as Johnny Velasquez was injured. Might not ride Wise Dan, but if he does, he\'s likely hurting and at a disadvantage.

Trying a bomber here.  Something about #8 Conquest Titan I like.  Top end speed is there and I think he\'ll much prefer the dirt.  Going off mjellish tip that his last race had trouble.  Big move forward here possible.

I\'m a stubborn old mule who avoids chalk like the plague.  I\'ll try Silver Max and the Euro Olympic Glory.
