To anyone who participated in the Santa Anita BC handicapping tournaments in the last two years, am interested in learning a bit more. Here are some questions, but any other info you think is worthwhile would be appreciated:
1) Is wagering near last minute (5 minutes or less?) difficult or relatively easy?
2) Do some people from TG sit together, or is everyone simply there on their own and a few people know a few others, but everyone basically keeps to themselves?
3) Is it easy to use your computer (track wifi, electrical outlets?)
4) Do you really have a good view of the track/finish line from your seats?
5) What\'s the dress code?
My goal in asking these questions, and this is really what I\'m after, is this: will this be a fun experience where I feel I get a reasonable shake for my money even if I lose. I once went to the Derby, and saw how bad the \"good\" seats were the day before, that I got up at a ridiculous hour to get seats in a small dining area so I could be comfortable (no backs upstairs where I was supposed to be.) I was tired and wondering what the heck I was doing there. This is not one race, and the seats will be comfortable, but 10k a lot more than my seats cost back then (I gave up two good seats to the US Open finals.) Don\'t mind losing, as long as I have a chance and it\'s a blast.
Thanks in advance for any responses, Jerry included.
