Either of \"youse guy\'s\" ever been to The Talk of The Town Tavern in Staten Island?

I read the article in today\'s Post about the little corner bar that serves $1.50 draft beers and got busted for having $1,000 & $ 2,000 super bowl squares. Apparently a disgruntled wife who did not appreciate her hubby\'s bottom line in his wagering endeavors turned the place in to the liquor authority.

Sounds like my kind of place!!!

It\'s one of a few \"joints\" that sprung up after the Feds shut down the $million football pool in SI(Feds had nothing better to do)

Talk of the Town is a little \"bucket of blood\" near one of the stops along the
Staten Island Railroad. Was thinking of you Frank when I read the article this
morning. Would not be surprised if half of the pool participants who will be
getting their money refunded are NYPD/FDNY.

My final piece of free advice to NYRA/ Chris Kay for 2013: The \"product\" is
\"Racing\", not the facilities, not the much mentioned \"customer experience\". Even
with relatively full fields, if NYRA winter racing is a parade of short priced
favorites from D Jake and Rudy Rod, horseplayers will embrace other options.

Seems the money is being made figuring out which random bomber might get second. Problem is, the batch betters usually destroy value in the place hole.
