Since it is quiet in Mudville I thought I\'d encourage the conspiracy theorists.

Boom another long shot, ho hum, probably another required NHC race.

Maybe it is because I am tuned into the contest, but it seems like I\'m in 1942-43 London.

I understand a long price on Tyler Baze it\'s hard for him to find the track let alone the finish line. (No it wasn\'t a required race, but...)

I understand a long price on Kent Desormeaux, he can\'t win in Chicago, let alone a stakes race @ SA.  So twice?

I get curious when Kent\'s brother start bringing in pricey horses in contest races, and when obscure trainers win after long layoffs.

Tampa is no hot bed of pricey payoffs, of course Jane is gone, so things are different. Ness probably doesn\'t need to win to win. Required race gets boom!

Does Baffert still train at SA I see he had two entries SAT, scratched one and the other (pricey for BB) disappeared after the start.

So I got to daydreaming how would Arnold Rothstein would approach this tournament and how long ahead of time are the required races are announced. Not that anyone would invest in such collusion for a paltry $750K.

I will give Tim Dixon kudos for a nice trainer move in the 2nd @ OP. Especially those slow works.

The end of the contest will no doubt be interesting. Thanks to DRF for terrible coverage of the event. They deserve to go broke not a customer oriented mind in the bunch. Or did I have to open a DRF bets account watch the progress.

NHC couldn\'t be covered by HRTV either?  I would say why not TVG also but they were removed from my ATT Uverse lineup a few months ago b/c they couldn\'t reach an agreement.  So maybe TVG did cover it but I wouldn\'t know.  The whole reason I got Uverse was b/c they carried both networks only to have one of them dropped.  Racing always looking out for their customers aren\'t they?

And why couldn\'t the \"Inside Post\" section of DRF\'s site added Peter Fornotale to their Twitter feed list to provide continuous updates on their site\'s homepage like Hersh, Privman, et al.  I guess for the same reason they don\'t provide the updated detailed \'Changes\' information like Equibase does on their site (Equibase has more thorough information about changes)---guess it\'s asking too much esp when they have to worry about posting more DRF plus articles.  

The recent Horseplayers show discussed on the board was interesting.  Did anyone else think \"I\'m as bright as these guys and I think I have more information than some of them making their wagers.\"  Or was only I this arrogant?  The show seemed okay.  I\'ll watch b/c I\'m an obsessed horseplayer but really wasn\'t in love with it but it can\'t hurt racing so I\'m all for that.

The dime super discussed on the board was bought at Canterbury.

Rumors abound at Fairmount Park as Illinois Racing\'s Doomsday potentially approaches--Wed, Jan 29th.  And the rumors consist of:  No one is worried about the Illinois season being wiped out by legislatures avoiding the issue  but rather that the slots legislation for racetracks is a done deal and will be passed.  I won\'t believe it until I see it....like I need to actually see the slot machines in a track in Illinois.  Let\'s hope something gets resolved.  

3yo season is getting exciting now....Top billing, Cairo, Shared Belief, Honor code...the list is growing.  Not of that caliber yet but did anyone else like Undertaker\'s race at Aqu today for John Servis?

Me\'n Amanda  (9th @OP) may have been a heart breaker and smile maker if my mastermind\'s front man hadn\'t already amassed an insurmountable contest lead. Which is how Arnie would have done it.

Fairmount, glad to have you ringing in, I\'m thinking representational democracy has outlived its usefulness. Why not have the stakeholders vote directly referendum style we do have the internet. Yet racing to be alive and well in Youngstown?
