as a tv news video editor for over 20 years, i say one thing to people...when you see someone stick a mic in your face, runnnnnnnnnnn....you lose all control of what you say and how you say it....the disturbing thing is you might have a 25 year old cut up your interview, or a madman who has no clue what they\'re doing...i could tell you a million horror stories as to what\'s done in the editing room...i\'ll give you two brief ones...
a person agrees to the interview but only if they\'re in silohouete...of course they can be made out by someone in their part of town and are at risk of retribution...
another simple one....we \'re doing a story on drivers licenses and we ask someone for their\'s so we can tape it....of course we forget to blur out the name and address of the person for all the world to see...
