Its not unreasonable though, seeing how much NYRA must be receiving to store new
vehicles for auto dealers in its parking lots. I mean those cars and trucks are
paying each day of the year. A piece of cement with two painted lines is a
moneymaker for NYRA.

Chris Kay is a BRILLIANT!! visionary though, and I would imagine that horsemen
with a runner entered will eventually only be charged $5. Think of the
environment and fuel savings... maybe Jake and Rudy and Linda Sunglasses can
carpool.

An alternate view of the future: NY state gets out, CD not interested, Stronach
can\'t be bothered with trying to divert cash from Magna stockholders again. The 3
entities (NYRA, Frankstro, Churchsino Downs) form a partnership and operate a 3
month meet at Saratoga.

The NY Breeders, looking at extinction, lease Belmont for four months a year and
operate a meet devoted to their backyard bred slow rats.

One sits on a racing committee in Albany and already talked to him at his office on Richmond.Tried to get him to help me put a Favorite/Winners type operation on Staten Island.Very cordial but like all politicians, they only work for political capital and there just isn\'t enough for them to crusade for anything to do with racing.

Once powerful Sen Joe Bruno had all the NY racing juice before the Feds locked him up, no one like that now except Cuomo but his disdain for racing precedes him.

Actually I was speaking about Michael Grimm, the second Staten Island congressman to
be indicted while in office in the last 30 years.

Louisiana and Illinois got nothin on Staten Island when it comes to greedy, corrupt,

Frikkin NYRA. Isn\'t it bad enough that you have to pay $3 to park where Jesus left

In a business operation where your primary source of revenue for a facility takes place inside the facility, and you are nowhere near filling that facility, you should be giving people stuff as they pull into your parking lot, not taking it away.  I\'d give them a two dollar betting voucher.  Maybe they\'ll get lucky and win, and then have more money to put through the windows.  Maybe they might even enjoy it, and do more of it with their own money.

Somebody should create a bracket like the NCAA\'s for the Clueless Clown championship.  Don\'t know how many can be legitimately entered, but it\'s hard to imagine NYRA and CDI not fighting for the 1 seed.  I don\'t get around enough to suggest other entrants, but if you have D-1 and D-2 tournaments, in the lower level, Finger Lakes would have to get serious consideration for top seed.  The guy who owns your local Stop \'n Go, or 7-11, could do a better job of running a track than what passes for management at Finger Lakes.

Actually it is a charge for patrons if the parking is needed on busy days. Trainers/owners still free. Sad to think this could happen in the future though

MYRA website says gen parking free. Adds caveat \"Parking fees will be at the discretion of management throughout the 2014 racing season\"

Joe Bruno has not spent a day in jail: oh they have tried! At 80 something they are going to attempt to bring him to trial once again, so far he has managed to stay afloat.

This is correct (on \"space available basis\") . . . but you haven\'t BEGUN to hear the bitching from employees, now that they are NO LONGER allowed to park on the Clubhouse-side lot for free during live Belmont . . . hie yourselves to the area by the railroad tracks, dearie . . .
