I think they were pointing for the Hirsh the last month and then changed their mind at the last minute. Wny, I do not know.

Regardless, at 20:1 with a reasonably clear good/bad pattern and an inside draw, I\'m kind of intrigued. His big ones, especially with a ground saving trip likely win this thing.

Thanks for the reply.  Did some Googling of Bar and Aluminum shoes and got some additional info.  Seems like Bar shoes are used to redistribute the weight differently about the hoof and also to help with healing foot problems.  Will keep an eye out tomorrow to see if there are anything regarding this in the changes.

Pletcher was just on TVG commenting on his horses that are running tomorrow.  He mentioned they were pointing for the Hirsch with the horse and he also alluded to his pattern as you did.  Also , he mentioned that sometimes horses may improve going to dirt after training on the turf. Interesting but a real longshot.
BTW, Pletcher just got a 54 dollar maiden booted home.
