Any consideration for doing a special on the new double?  Maybe $5 for both races.....I know I would end up playing races I wouldn\'t normally consider.

Steve Christ wrote an article about his low opinion of this new bet. I found it on today\'s DRF web site FYI.

The takeout is 20%(nyra normal take 18.5% on dd\'s) there\'s no pool size guarantee, What\'s the attraction? What genius thought this up? Only first day but players bet $26k, very weak.

Santa Anita failed to meet their $100k guaranteed late DD late pool yesterday by a bit.

Even after taking their sweet time loading the horses into the gate to squeeze every last penny into the pool.  It was like watching Gulfstream.

I thought they might not even run the race if the pool didn\'t get close to the 100k. Slowest load in modern history.

Another example that people in charge don\'t have an effing clue.
