0-2-X vs. Claim + Voluntary Class Rise for move-up trainer
« on: December 26, 2014, 09:18:06 AM »
Don\'t think I\'ve ever seen this before.

In Friday\'s 3rd at Hawthorne, #3 Nobiz Like Sue Biz is entered 1st off
the claim for whiz trainer Roger Brueggemann.

This is normally an automatic bet for me if can get 4-1 or more on the
new claim, but the TG pattern shows the formation of the 0-2-X pattern,
with today\'s race being the projected \"X\" race.

Any thoughts? Can a move-up guy overcome the dreaded X race...especially
on a short turnaround? (13 days)

Is the answer what it most always is? (What price?)

Any help appreciated.

Rick

Took a look at this and I see why you like this guy off the claim. But this one looks difficult given the short rest and competition. Even the slower ones are live, somewhat. If you have a feel for this guy then you might be able to pull the trigger but I can\'t. Don\'t think you\'ll get the ML, maybe 4-1, maybe. Good luck.

The top was aided by a big drop is claiming price with a corresponding slower pace.

The subsequent 2 sure looks a reaction to the preceding top especially considering the slow pace (which I do)!

Back at the 25K level I believe will help produce the X. #6 Gyp Rope looks to be a horse in good form albeit too ambitiously placed last out.

The price also looks to be an X based on early 3/1.

I\'ll vote for the X even with the White Knight\'s Magic.

Thanks guys. Hard for me to be objective when it is this trainer.
He has been very good to my pockets over the last 20 years.

I passed, and like a trained pig, Nobiz X\'d just as the pattern
suggested.

I will post a reminder when this one runs back.

Thanks for your help.
