Since I am also up late, I\'ll banter. It\'s always amazed me that the sire (Speightstown) could produce top dirt sprinters and good grass horses.

Well as the M/L 2nd choice @ 3/1 I guess you have company. Hard for me to think he has much value as a winner of one MSW race vs these. Yet if he is that fast 3/1 is a bargain. Note - I believe he ran the 7th furlong in :16 while distancing his competitors, that is not particularly fast but he did look great!

Granted there are questions about Blofeld & Texas Red but they have been fast several times each.

Bred for distance as well, Gone West and Danzig in the blood.

Texas Red\'s last start featured Lord Nelson and nothing else, since that start Lord Nelson is 0/3 (last I recall).
