A reasonable profit went on yesterdays books, another zero could have been added with some better wagering than handicapping! The pick 4 was destroyed with the scratch of my single and 3 out of the Lake George changed the complexion of the race. The last race the back # ouchie hung on as he and the 14 & 15 all staggered home in a Finger Lakes like finale while the 10 at 35/1 gave the optical allusion of flying through the lane. He was the only horse in the field running at the end at all. Asmussen claimed the winner, I guess will see him in for 5K at Lone Star down the road.

1st  PETA\'s favorite trainer had a dismal Belmont meet, lots of 2nd\'s and 3rd\'s, he knows how to get\'em ready first out. Hundred Years is out of Misremembered\'s
first crop, 1 for 2 so far and his dam ran some reasonable sprint numbers.

2nd  Adirondack Dancer & English Minister run fast numbers but never win, Artie Crasher has a forward move in him at a price and Speeding Comet looks like the key to me with rider switch to JJ.

3rd  Life Imitates Art will have the Brownies dancing on Union Ave.

Late Pick 4:

I\'m counting on TGJB to provide some clarity for the 8th race.
Taghleeb will be favored, Market Outlook has a forward move and will take Chad money, Plainview is a Spa specialist with the best back #\'s, I can also make a case for the 5,6,10,11 on numbers and patterns all at 10/1 plus?

The Sanford:
 He\'s Comin in Hot is moving into stake number territory and Cocked and Loaded has been turning heads in the mid west since the spring.

The Diana:
Tepin and Stephanie is it for me, I\'m hardly a proponent of exacta\'s paying 10/1 or less. I lost enough money at the trotters on them in my misguided youth but this one may be that logical.

1,2,3 and out for me.

The last time Kittens Queen was entered as a rabbit for Stephanie, the two
Ramsey runners were coupled in the wagering. Due to a recent rule change, they
are uncoupled in this spot.

Does Ken Ramsey like to cash a bet? Was WWII noisy?

Can Jose Ortiz do 115?

What did you guys think of the DQ in the Sanford?

It killed my P4 (singled Plainview), and I had a nice win ticket on the 4.

Makes me want to exit Living Room Downs.

1. Marginal, \"excuse me\" type interference. Changed nothing.

The 4 was one of those that if everyone who said they had it on twitter, had bet $2, it would have been 8/5.

I think a horse bolting 5 lanes, then coming in 4 lanes in the space of 100 yds or less, with minimal clearance, needs to come down unless no one can be seen steadying or hesitating.  

 Lots of talk about Rudy Vs Pletcher, when Pletcher was not even the claimant. Pretty absurd.

 PS No question the 4 was best, but not the point.

I don\'t care about Twitter. I had the Effing horse.

He bolted 5 lanes with ZERO incident.  So that is pointless.

He came in 4 paths, and to say he bothered any horse that cost them a placing is very debatable. I\'ll debate that point.  The Twitter and 5 paths comments are meaningless.

 You have lots of company, this was not a popular dq. I\'ll watch again to see if I still think it was justified.

PS Watched. you may call it subtle, but the 10 does steady a bit before the wire.

I guess if you swing an axe over your head but don\'t actually chop anyones head off , you can claim no harm done. Way too much horizontal action here for me to feel pity for the DQ

Pay closer attention then, and my premise won\'t seem
strange.

Certain trainers get the kid gloves treatment in NY
(and other locales).

NY stews would never take a Pletcher horse down for
a ticky-tack call like that. No sir.

Didn\'t have Hard Not To Like in the P4 so that takes some of the sting away.

For what it\'s worth I called before the decision that he would and should be placed third. Question isn\'t whether he would have won, but whether he cost the ten a placing, and given that one lost close for second there\'s a good chance the answer is yes.

After umpteen more looks at the replay, I think
the crowding near the wire had a bigger impact
on the finish than that wee bit of interference
earlier in the stretch.

Right outcome with wrong (or misleading) reason given?
I suppose it\'s happened before...

I just had Mike Smith in the Del Mar 6 at 23/1, beaten by the slimmest margin short of a DH.  Geezus, what a day.

My wife is thrilled watching me play the horses today, I could have used one of these to win. Handing her money helps.

Tough beat for sure, he was lengths the best but IMHO a very legitimate DQ. If the 6 and 8 weren\'t dead and going backwards at that point one could make a case for putting him behind both of them. He impeded the 10 with the BO and hammered him worse with the BI.Can\'t wait to see that sheet BO BI!

Maggie loved the 4 in the paddock and I was standing next to Rocky when his cousin called him after running into John Servis on the way to the paddock saying they had a big shot in the race. I\'m sure Rocky is in a P Dub mood as well.

How about Starlight Racing lucking into the top spot here with a horse that would have been 3rd. The same outfit that got put up in the Fountain of Youth with Itsaknockout over a very questionable ruling on Upstart. Better to be lucky than good for sure sometimes.

Mike Dubb, owner of DQ\'d 4 and NYRA Board member livid that Rudy is treated very differently by NYRA because is a mild mannered guy and Mexican. Made a big stink that the DQ was not justified.

By rule, the swerves by the 4 did reasonably cause the 10 a placing(3rd instead of second) Stewards would have NOT DQ\'d 4 had the 10 finished 2nd.

Tough call but understandable.
