Does TVG still charge 25 cents per wager or $19.95 per month if you do not wager enough money (I think they waive fees at $2500 wagered per month)? They also used have a streaming fee if you do not wager high enough amounts. It used to be if pay a flat rate of $19.95 per month you are good to go, but that is pretty big bite if you are not putting a lot of money through the wickets. I am not sure of their deposit and withdrawal policies, but check if they charge. Many take a percentage or charge a flat fee. I do not believe they are a good option for the small time bettor.
Xpressbet or Twin Spires (Brisnet) may be a better option. Xpressbet used to have minimum monthly bet amounts for streaming as well, but I think they got rid of that. Xpressbet charges for credit card deposits ($5), but you do have mechanisms for free deposits and withdrawals like linking to your checking account (which some are reluctant to do). There is also other processes like going to 7/11 (hey you can get a Slurpee while you are at it) and that costs about the same as a credit card. They did have some issues with slow response times on Belmont day, but generally they work fine.
Twin Spires is another option. Not sure about their fees or requirements but I know a few people that are happy with the service.
I guess my point is that you should check out the fees for each service including wagering fees, monthly fees, streaming fees and deposit fees with consideration as to how convenient deposits are given the situation - they are not all equal. Lastly not all states carry each service so depending on location, you may be out of luck.
