Baffert Perception

I happened to notice Mr. Bob Baffert on television today. The one hour Starting Gate show that plays @ 2:00 p.m. est. He was interviewed following AP\'s recent 4F w/o. BB mentioned he wanted AP to go slow he went :48+ and mentioned the horse was in good health not an ounce of fat on em. Non committal re when he would ship in to Ky.

My perception - BB looked sick, shadows over his eyes. Not healthy, maybe he was hung over. He spoke very slowly, quietly and if I was looking at a horse in the paddock - I\'d say toss em. Subconsciously I read he is not confident and may not even want to run BC. Very un-Baffert like?

Fusaichi Pegasus was supposed to sprout wings and roll the year he ran in the Classic after the Jerome Mile win. He started middle of the pack and stayed there. The kind of thing one might suspect of a horse who had already been previously Syndicated by Coolmore for $60M. Ok Coolmore has Syndicated AP for half that amount so maybe they let him run a little more early.....

BTW-Baffert deserves an Eclipse this year for his work and statesmanship. I\'m sure he is tired!!
