1860 participants seems low; it speaks either to the resignation of racing fans to
the unlikeliness of change, or the fact that DRF\'s penetration is not what I
thought it was.
The restriction or elimination of Lasix would in my opinion significantly
decrease field size. Lets face it, we have entire generations of trainers and
horses dependent on Lasix.
Amongst the \"heavy hitters\" in the Survey, the three concerns listed were takeout,
taxation and field size. I do not think it is a stretch to tie the issues of Lasix
and field size together.
