2002 BC pk 6 scandal
« on: May 10, 2004, 11:24:33 PM »
does anybody know if autotote agreed to pay people who hit the BC preview day pk 6 (belmont oct 05, 2002) a supplemental payment as partial retribution stemming from the BC pk 6 scandal?

I don\'t follow...how does one pik 6 day form Oct. 6th affect another one, without carryover, for 3 weeks later?

Did the same guys hit it, too?

The pk6 that day was separately fixed by the same characters, it was also a signer, & one would think that by now Autotote would have lived up to its responsibilty to pay the easily identified players the amount that was stolen from them, a point I made repeatedly at the time. However,as far as I know, nothing was ever done.

i just received a letter from the NYRA, acting on behalf of autotote... a check is coming soon. i remember thinking i had a $20g ticket that day (oct 5), turned out to be quite a bit less. i don\'t follow racing much between the BC and the gulfstream meet, but i can\'t believe i missed this story.

thanks mall...... in the letter they gave no explanation of the scandal, or why they were sending me a check. they just said i was receiving a supplemental payment that relates to the oct 5, 2002 pick 6... sorry to clutter the board with this, but there is no record of this story anywhere that i could find.

Michael;

Here\'s a link to the story in the DRF archives.

The fix-six gang had the 10/5 Belmont pick-six 8 times. Your check is probably for about $1,600.
