member of an amateur or professional sports organization (as those terms are defined in section 3701 of

‘‘(I) All prizes and awards offered to winning
participants are established and made known to
the participants in advance of the game or contest
and their value is not determined by the number
of participants or the amount of any fees paid
by those participants.
‘‘(II) All winning outcomes reflect the relative
knowledge and skill of the participants and are
determined predominantly by accumulated statistical results of the performance of individuals (athletes in the case of sports events) in multiple realworld sporting or other events.
‘‘(III) No winning outcome is based—
‘‘(aa) on the score, point-spread, or any
performance or performances of any single
real-world team or any combination of such
teams; or
‘‘(bb) solely on any single performance of
an individual athlete in any single real-world
sporting or other event

\"we all know what takeout is in racing\" really?   ever ask someone at the track?   Did you figure in breakage?  What if you get a rebate?   Racing\'s takeout is the one that lacks transparency, and it is a big part of why one industry is thriving and one is dying.

The last race did get the !, which usually comes out for wide trips, but occasionally for a race that TG has a lot faster than it appears.

I still think racing should have never gone after slots, let the casinos have them.  They should (have) gone after sports betting and kept is exclusive from the casinos. Horse racing is a sport... Tracks should be able to create para-mutual pools on any sporting event.   Look at the explosion of the DFS (daily fantasy sports) model, which probably already out handle racing on NFL Sundays...

Unlike the derby 7 of the last 8 Belmont winners ran new tops (by an average of 2.5 pts)  Union Rags paired his 2 to win the slowest (TG) Belmont since 2007.

The winners averaged 4 pre-Belmont starts at 3, and the new tops averaged 2.5 pts.

5 of the 8 had run a new top in one of their prior two races, the second top in the Belmont being a lot faster then they started their 3yo year.

Who fits?  Keen Ice and Frammento do.   Their tops coming in are as good as DaTara, Drosselmeyer, Ruler on Ice, and Palace Malice...

Never understood why the tracks haven\'t pushed to be allowed to take parimutuel wagers on any sport.   $2 pick 18 on an NFL weekend.  $1 supers on the Daytona 500 etc...
